Prince Emrah (she/he) is a professional belly dancer, a dance trainer, a beauty&wellness student, a make-up artist, a DJ, and an occasional drag queen based in Berlin. After her arrival, Emrah put all their energy into becoming a presenter of “Black & brown cabaret show”, “Whoriental festival “ and QueerBerg Soli events. A few years ago, she arrived in Berlin as a refugee from Turkmenistan and is of Kurdish&Azerbaijan descent. Since then, he has built an impressive artistic career in Berlin's performance art scene and beyond. Emrah is the mother of an artist collective called “QueerBerg”, house  "House of Royals," which provides a space for BIPOC LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers and refugees from countries such as Syria, Palestine, Malaysia, Libya, İran, Turkey  and the like.

QueerBerg Berlin is a BiPOC Collective for queer and trans* artists and performers. Our organizational structure follows the revolutionary queer practise of the Houses as Trans and Nonbinary people have formed them for decades to provide care and solidarity for each other. As all of us have had to flee our homes and countries and depend on the German asylum system, we do not have the resources to build an actual house in Berlin. Nonetheless, since Prince Emrah founded the collective by the end of 2018, QueerBerg has provided a similar support system for refugee artists both on stage as well as in everyday challenges we face as Black and Brown queers and trans* folks from Syria, Palestine, Malaysia, Kurdistan, Turkey, Asian and many more.

We regularily perform on stage as dancers, performers, singers, and musicians. Our aim is to represent our art and our position as artists who are both affected by racism in white queer spaces and anti queer and trans violence in non-queer BIPOC spaces. We consider our pride, our sheer existence on stage as already revolutionary. But we also represent an actively anti-racist agenda and make sure to give space to Black trans* women, sexworkers, fat artists and consistently reflect our standing. Furthermore, we continue to enable newcomer artists to find their space on the stages of Berlin. We were awarded with the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR prize by Clubcommission and the Berlin senate three times.

Are you ready to be the change you wish to see in the world? Then join us for one of the most diverse and authentic performance-based cabaret shows at the Black and Brown Queer Cabaret!

Black and Brown Queer Cabaret is a Trans, Queer, Feminist, POC, and Refugee-led, inclusive space for celebrating all types of bodies in Berlin. We bring together Queer and the Black & Brown people of color in an artistic experience that celebrates our identity, love, and lust as a community.

The queer program content of c/o pop is supported by: Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Lesben in NRW, Queeres Netzwerk NRW and the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
