Kurs Valüt is an electronic duo formed in 2017 by Eugene Gordeev in Dnipro to popularize the Minimal Wave in Ukraine. The language of the lyrics is Ukrainian. The primary genre is EBM with the addition of Electro, Synth-Pop, and Italo Disco structures. This mixture later became known as a Dnipropop.

Band’s headquarters is the Module Night Club because the music of Kurs Valüt is primarily composed for the dance-floors audience. Lyrical themes fix certain difficult phases of personal life with the permanent social-political crisis background. Kurs Valüt aesthetically transforms internal and external crisis into the dance floor energy.

The second band’s album is also called “Kurs Valüt”. It is the result of a long work that summarizes difficult stage of life experience inspired by solitude, austerity, and extreme mental states. In comparison to the debut album “Veselo” (2018), it’s more melodic and metaphoric, lyrics could be interpreted differently. Usage of a tube summing mixer during the studio processes adds a warm, non-commercial textured color to the sound of this release.
