Ozan Tekin (Solo Piano) Ozan Tekin is a Turkish-born composer and producer living in Cologne. His latest album "Anarya", a three-part compilation of his piano works in which he draws his projections across neoclassical, jazz and ambient music, was released in May 2022. Tekin's debut album "Pillars of Salt", which consists of his earlier ambient and experimental compositions, was released in October 2019. Tekin also releases singer-songwriter songs under the pseudonym Seyrek Rifat and composes music and does sound design for theatre, performance, film and TV in Germany and Turkey.Tekin's solo piano performance is based on his latest album "Anarya", in which he makes a figurative attempt to wander back over the compositions created in his last home Cologne. Tekin unwinds his musical journey from Cologne back to his hometown Adana with a long stopover in Istanbul in "Anarya" with 14 tracks, and each of them is a sound story reflecting Tekin's different memories of these three cities. "Anarya" is the final product of a process in which Tekin and his piano tuned each other. It is an artistic representation of the idiosyncratic phenomenon known as moody German; a spectrum of tones, moods and atmospheres expressed in personal and instrumental terms. Tekin's music has instrumental origins, having been born on a piano. The remarkably catchy melodies, haunting melancholic arpeggios and restless changes of time signatures set the atmospheric stage of Tekin's music. However, due to his ever-changing allegiances, his melodies cannot be assigned to any particular home.
