Rolf Blumig, age 24, lives in Leipzig and loves music as much as he despises capitalism.
Nevertheless, he's in the game because of the practical distribution channels. Musically, Rolfie, as his fans and friends may call him, moves between the poles of rock and pop, appreciates Fleetwood Mac just as much as tick rap, and holds fast to the timeless sound of the electric guitar, which has been declared dead a million times. Together with his extremely strong rhythm section, he runs a traveling live business, which alternatively moves into the limelight as "Rolf Blumig Band" or "Zirkus Blumig".
Rolf Blumig is signed to the Berlin label staatsakt and is brought to the stages by the Powerline Agency, also based in Berlin. February sees the release of a reworked reissue of Blumig's debut bedroom psych-rock album "Liebe Lohnt Sich," which he recorded at the narcissistic age of 20.
The second album "Rolfie lebt!" is scheduled for February 2022.
The concert is part of the funding project "c/o pop 2023 musichubgermany" and is supported by the Initiative Musik gemeinnützige Projektgesellschaft GmbH with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
